Great price, decent quality,
October 19, 2009
By koumis from Elbert Co, CO
"I bought the 50 lb. because I needed something to pound on occasionally -- flattening, bending, rivets, etc. I'm not a full-time blacksmith so I didn't want to plunk down a lot of cash for something that gets occasional use, nor did I want to destroy my vise. This product fits the bill."

Great price poor quality,

"This Anvil is very cheap in comparison to most other anvils. To buy even a small anvil would cost nearly twice as much. However with this great price comes a trade off of poor quality. This anvil is not tool steel and will deform to most hammer impacts. In addition the anvil's face is riddled with little craters which require the user to mill down."

55&70lb anvils,

By empty from KING GEO., VA.
"I got the 55lb anvil, because I knew it would only be a matter of time before I busted another vise(beating on and around it). I got the 70lb for a friend(ferrier) of mine and he said it's perfect, he loves it. You can beat the anvil, but not the price!!!"

"Not a bad anvil for the cost. It has a nice working surface. I would have prefered a Ferriers anvil but couldn't fine one..."

Cast Iron Anvil — 55-Lb,

By Dork from Campobello, SC
"It's hard to get excited about an anvil but I can say the price was right and I find I have more uses for it than I thought I would. I did have to put some rust resistant paint on it since I have it outside."

"I was very pleased with the delivery and value of my anvil. I have needed one for years, and procrastinated purchasing. I would recommend this to anyone that works in metal."

Cast Iron Anvil,

By Buck05 from Chelmsford, MA
"The 55 lb. cast iron anvil was what I was looking for and more. I have been using my bench vise as a pounding surface and have almost destroyed it.
The anvil provides a large surface for pounding and shaping metal things.
It is a good size for home or industrial use."
