"so far so good. had to make a slight adjustment to the idle but not a problem really. i bought it for the pole saw, the trimmer was a bonus, compared to other options, for three times the cost, it's a bargain."

Easy to Start Up and Use,
August 17, 2009
By mjolnir10

"While most of the reviews here were positive, I was concerned about the few that were not. Most seemed to have problems with starting.
I had no problem at all. It took a few pulls the first time to circulate the fuel and oil. But after the first start, it always restarted with one pull - even when cold."

poulan pro pole chainsaw,
July 20, 2009
By pakman
from Northern Calif.

"I cannot say enough good things about this combo pole chainsaw/weed trimmer! I have 10 acres with oaks, pines and lots of weeds that need to be addressed. for fire season. The pole chainsaw has worked wonderfully in trimming up the oaks and the pines, without a hitch. But to my surprize, the weed trimmer impressed me even more! I have used more than my share of weed trimmers in the past, but not one of them comes close to the work load capability of this product. I could not believe how it cut through the dense weed/grass and it did not even slow down. If you have wood land that needs to be put into shape for fire season this is one mighty good tool to have in your arsenal. Thank You Northern Tools"

poulan pole saw and weed eater combo,
July 20, 2009
By bpattillo
from Hamiton Georgia

"Works fair but bar on saw is very short and the oil feed is gravity feed instead of a gear pump so the blade starves for oil if the blade is not flat or on a down grade. Balance of the saw could be better. Weed eater works well if you like a curve shaft."

Poulan Pro Pole Saw,
June 22, 2009
By Anonymous
from North Jersey
|
"I am a tree farmer in north Jersey. We originally were attracted to the saw because of the price and free shipping (Father's Day) speacial. After reading the manual, I put it to work. The saw started right up and ran perfect. I used it for six hours straight, without a problem. I was thrilled with it's performance! Sincerely Tree farmer."

By GoBucs

"Pretty good for the money. It is difficult to start, unless you give it a shot of starting fuild in the carburator first. If you use this, there's no problem starting. It works great sawing limbs up to 4" diameter. I'm glad I bought mine!"
