Lack of performance, May 8, 2009

"It is labeled a finishing trail mower however, it will not cut even moderately high grass (12") without bogging down. The belts begin to smoke and burn up . After adjusting them a second time, it is time for new belts. I had high hopes for this mower and am disappointed."

Belt Stretches/Slips, April 7, 2009

"The belt (PN: BA50) stretches and slips, causing the mower to smoke and stall blade RPM's, even in moderately tall grass at slow speeds, less than 2mph. Would not recommend unless your cutting an inch or two of grass is all. When it does work (new belt) it saves an enormous amount of time, but it stalls way too easily and the belt is gone after that."

"Great:

+ Easy Electric Start
+ Easy to pull
+ Fast Cutting time. 66 inch deck + the Deer's 48 inch - about a 3 inch overlap = 111 inch = Over 9 feet of cutting!

Not Perfect:

- Stalls in long grass. This model is not a trail mower so that's understandable.
- One of the adjusters handles broke off (not a big deal)
- Corners are a bit tricky when you off set it with a rider mower

Overall, saves tons of time!"

Good as Finish Cutter, April 14, 2008

"I like the mower, it is not for bush hogging even though it is called a trail mower. once you get the grass down it works great. I can cut almost a 10' path when i add it to my other riding mower. If you have a large area to keep the grass nice and tidy, then get this attachment, if you have heavy brush, i wouldn't recommend this machine. Also maybe purchase a couple extra belts in case, they seem to go quick."
