"This product works very well. It grabs onto the object that you are pulling up or out. I have used it to remove bushes from around my house and it worked well. I have also used it to remove steal posts from a raised bed garden area. Worked well there also. Much better then the regular chain I had been using. The only area of complaint is that the ring on the unit is a little weak. After removing about 6 bushes and 26 posts, it is starting to elongate . I use it with a 40 hp 4x4 tractor and loader."

"the design is a great idea but quality of material is sub standard.I have had this item about a month and had been pulling up honeysuckle bushes which are shallow rooted. after six bushes the chains broke apart in four places and the rings on each end bent to unusable degree if you want to waste your money then purchase this item! worthless for its intended use am very disappointed to say the least."

Great brush remover,

"This simple device, (snow chains with rings) works very well with small saplings and brush. It is lightweight and easy to wrap (throw) around clumps and brush to pull them out of with the roots. The color is easy to locate in the pine needle laden woods that we are in. When the ground is wet (spring) it works a lot better. This summer when continuing to use in the dry ground, the pull ring reshaped itself to a chain link oval and it keeps on working. We were pulling Madrone and Manzanita. Grips great on wet saplings after shearing some of the bark off. I'm waiting for the heavy duty version for the more mature Manzanita."

It does the job,

"I couldn't wait to try this out and I was not disappointed. I hooked it up to a small gasoline powered winch and using half inch rope and a few pulleys I was able to pull large choke cherry trees and multiflora roses right out of the ground. The device gripped the trunks, stems, and stalks securely and was easy to remove. All in all a pleasure to use and much superior to the logging chain I had used before."
