Good Grubber,
November 2, 2009
By seabinder
from Montville, Maine
"Have used this tool to remove saplings and some small stumps. I am impressed with the heavy duty construction. This thing is rugged! It works well, but you really need another man to reset it after pulling, or you will do a lot of jumping on and off the tractor. I would recommend it.-works just like they claim. Get the heavy duty model by all means."

hd brush grubber,

"used the brush grubber as soon as i received it. Great quality. easy to use. works best with two people, one hooking the grubber to the brush being pulled and one on the tractor. pulled everything i tried. quite a workout as the tool is heavy. used it with a 40 foot gable so that we could start at the far side of the brush and pull a tree, release and hook up another tree and so on without having to back the tractor up every time. i received the grubber within 5 business days, great service."

Brush Grubber does the job,
October 19, 2009
By onthefarm
from Roanoke, VA
"The heavy duty brush grubber worked well at helping my tractor and chain to pull young trees out of the ground that measured between 2 and 5 inches in diameter. The effectiveness seems to depend on the weight of the tractor and the root system of the tree. I thought the heavy duty brush grubber was easy to use. I might buy a smaller one for smaller saplings."

Excellent,

"I was skeptical when I purchased this unit, but when I put it into action, what a great addition to my arsenal of neat tools. It's a must have when clearing brush etc especially the invasive 'Buck Thorn'. Cut them, poison the root system, then pull the stumps and be rid of them. It's surprising how little power it takes to pull them out when this thing has such a secure grip on the stump! Gotta love it."

Worth the $$,

"I used the brush grabber on my farm and pine plantation. I've used it several days now without any problems. I have pulled small trees( roots and all) from under my fences and plucked trees from in between my planted pines. I use a 45horse tractor with no problems, even on the larger 4" trees. I usually work alone so getting on and off the tractor to hook/unhook is the hardest part. If you use it on pines or hickory, you'll need something to clean the bark out of the teeth after every few trees( I just used a small screwdriver). It's a nice, heavy duty product that works just as described."

Brush Grubber,
July 13, 2009
By Grubber
from Plain City, Ohio
"I have used this grubber in clearing out a fence row and it has worked out very well. I purchasd this unit from Northern Tool before they offered the next generation with the handles on the side, which I believe would make it easier to open and engage on tree trunks, brush, etc. Although one person can work the grubber easily, having a 2nd person on the tractor sure saves a lot of time and effort."

Tree Farmer,
March 16, 2009
By Machere
from Zirconia, NC
"I bought the brush grubber to pull out small unwanted saplings and other small brush type bushes. The grabber is great when working alone. I clamp it onto the small trees that I have cut leaving about four feet of stump behind. This is what I hook the grabber to and then put my tractor in four wheel drive, low range and idle the stump out, roots and all. I highly recommend this brush grubber. I also bought a larger model that Northern Tool did not sell at the time and now they carry that one too. It works well for trees up to five inches in diameter. The smaller one is better suited to stumps less than three inches in diameter."

Rugged Grabber,
November 17, 2008
By Ralph9
from Boston MA
"This product is strong enough to really use. Its main job for me is to pull horse pasture posts that have broken off out of the ground using my chain and tractor bucket. It is small enough that the hole to dig is about the size for the new post and it grabs strongly enough that you do not have to dig any deeper than the top of the broken post."
