Excellent product,
November 21, 2009
By Eagle999

"I use this product and a 25hp 4wd tractor to pull 15' wax myrtles and small sweet gums trees with a 3/8" logging chain between the product and the tractor. It works great! The only time the product did not grip was when there was moss on the tree trunk. It is easy to connect and disconnect from the tree and is far superior to using just chains or ropes."

Brush Grubber,

"I bought the Brush Grubber in early spring of 2009. I have used it dozens of times and it impresses me every time with its ease of use and simplistic design. Because of its durability, this is the kind of tool a friend can borrow without any worry of wear or damage."

Brush grubber,
October 19, 2009
By CV09
from Missouri
"Be sure to use a chain or cable, a rope will strethc too much. Be aware you have to get off the tractor for each use. In spite of the advertising, it often rides up the trunk of the small tree or brush, and it often pulls out only the trunk, not the roots, depending on the species and the ground it is in.
Still, if you have soft ground and not too many saplings, it saves a lot of work.

brush grabber,
August 28, 2009
By myhobby
from Summersville, MO
"I had great luck using this tool to pull small brush. When I used my 34 horse tractor to try and pull sappling at the upper limit of the suggested use for the grabber the tool bent to where it was not usable. The spring popped off and the grabber metal arms warped to where it is now unusable. I had better luck using a chain. Recommend for light pulling only."

Amazing Brush Grubber,
August 12, 2009
By Yankeeflatlander
from Central Michigan
"I have yet to find a tree or bush between 1/2" and 3" that has stood up to this incredible device. I no longer have to wrap & unwrap a chain to clear poplars, willows, and elms from my pond's edge. The thinest trunks slip between the teeth, stripping bark as it slides off, but the least bit of digging usually exposes a lump at the root which affords a better bite. 3"x20' trees get cut off about waist-high and the stumps pull neatly, with little jerking and a minimum of soil disruption. I shackled mine to a 3/8" grab hook for easy handling and it slips easily onto a tow chain anchored to my draw-bar or reciever hitch. I recommended this to a friend who bought one right away, then warned that what works on my sandy banks might struggle in his harder soil and put off trying it. Finally after a year's wait I'm chuckling as he raves about how well it uproots ash and scrub-oak stumps from his hard clay, as though he had invented it. I couldn't recommend this labor-saver highly enough. Now that it's become my most borrowed tool I'm ordering another one."

Great tool,
July 20, 2009
By bzmomfor5
from South Central VA
"We have struggled with invasive Mulberry bushes/trees since purchasing this property in 2005. It seemed that no matter how hard we tried, there were roots that we could not get out with the rest of the plant. I had researched several products and decided to purchase the brush grubber for my husbands birthday. As he is disabled, he drove the lawn tractor and I was in charge of hooking the grubber to the saplings. The mulberrys grow together in a long clump line and once we had started with one the rest seemed to come up with the others. By attaching the grubber onto the more mature of the saplings we were able to extract the entire line in over an hour. There was about 40 feet of saplings to extract. We are now working our way around the yard, extracting wild privet, honeysuckle and Virginia creeper and various other invasive plants that had been allowed to take over 20 feet of yard from our property line. The once wild looking yard is now looking kept and manicured. Thank you Northern, for yet another great product."

New ATV Trails,
July 14, 2009
By TennesseeDeerHunter
from Tennessee
"My wife and I have 125 acres in Middle Tennesse we use to hunt deer and turkey. We ordered the Brush Grubber and used it to pull trees for 2 1/2 miles of new ATV trails and clear acreage for three clover fields on our property. I used a mid size John Deere tractor. We removed hundreds of trees in the 2 to 4 inch diameter size. Much better than using a chain saw that leaves a stub. The tool worked great and is very tough. I have recommended to my hunting buddies to improve their hunting spots. This year I will have the added convenience of using my ATV and have prime hunting areas with the clover fields."
