"I couldn'nt believe the price of these when I first saw these in the catologue. At the time ( Nov, 06) I was working as a construction equipment fleet mechanic in Kansas and it was common to be out early jumpstarting machines, troubleshooting, moving, or making various repairs. I ordered 2 pair just to see how the quality was, and to my surprise and delight these were officially licensed Caterpillar gloves, super thick, and reinforced at important wear areas. They even had sharp looking tags attached from 3M Corp. stating (40 gram* Thinsulate Insulation), Waterproof/Breathable, and the Cat logo for Mens Winter Wear. So pleased was I that an additional order of 6 more was made and all the men in the family recieved a pair for Christmas. I've used them to shovel snow and they kept my hands warm and dry. I even used them his last week (March, 07) in the morning were I am now working as a tank mechanic for a major defense contractor. I have an extra pair for myself, but the originals are still in such great shape I may not need to use them for a few more winters to come. My only complaint is that they are so thick, they make doing fine control dexterity jobs difficult if not impossible. Overall I am extremely pleased with the price, and product. Most gloves on store shelves go for $8.00 to $12.00 and cant hold a candle to these. Northern picked a winner here."
