Looks great and lasted 20 hrs but I found out why.,

"I use this for power at the racetrack. Right off of the bat, the fuel bowl (on the fuel filter) cracked in 20 places and leaked fuel all over the place. So, I replaced it with my own diesel filter. Then the wheels started to fall apart so I mounted the whole thing on a set of heavy duty casters (which came from Northern Tool) , which made it 1000X easier to move around. Then at 20hrs, it started smoking and backfiring. Within 5 minutes is shut down and would not start. We spent a few weeks trying to figure out why it wouldn't start. I checked everything. I took the injection pump, injector and valve cover off. I did notice that the air filter was completely plugged up with gunk and that when it would crank, exhaust would come out the intake. I took the fan shroud off and used the timing marks to check the cam timing (I found an engine manual online from Kipor, who is the company that actually makes the whole thing). Everything was fine. It had compression, the injection pump was pumping fuel through the injector and cam timing war right on.
At this point, I decided that I was going to take the engine apart. I thought that maybe it had a broken ring, a chinese gnome hiding in the crankcase or who knows. Anyway, while I was taking the exhaust off, I found the problem. this generator has a catalytic converter on it. The cat broke up and plugged the exhaust off 100%. So, I took out the rest of the internals of the cat and stuck it back together. It fired right up and ran like a champ. I never thought that this generator would have been equipped with a cat.
In conclusion, if you are a mechanic with about 30 years of experience and are surrounded by a bunch of other mechanics (at a racetrack), you can keep this generator going. While I had it apart, I fixed about 20 other things that were going to be failing within a month or two. I do suggest replacing all of the fuel hose (make sure it's diesel compatible) because within 18 months it was so dry rotted that it was a matter of time it was going to fail.
I just wonder what's going to go out next. I bet that it'll stop generating power but run really good. I should have known better as to buying a generator like this but I can only blame myself. On the other hand, I've learned a pretty good amount on this thing and should start my own service center as these things look like a gold mine.
One other thing, there is a compression release inside (right over the exhaust valve). So if you have the whole fuel system off, you can get it to prime much quicker by letting it freewheel until you get fuel to the injector."

"it works great for medium to heavey duty equipment runs all my power tools with eas, 10 inch Tablesaw Bandsaw Radial arm saws Mill even na oven. starts very easy even in the cold with the preheat."

"I purchased 3 of these the one that lasted the longest was 35 hours the second one 22 hours and the last one 12 hours. The worst customer service ever from the warranty dept. at AllPower. stay away from this product. Will throw away your money. If they gave these away I would not want one."

"This was purchased for alternative heat source for a greenhouse.
After 40 hrs. of use the automatic voltage regulator went bad. It took (3) consecutive
days of phone calling before I was able to talk to real live person. We finally got the
problem taken care of. But the part took almost (1) month to arrive. Then I had to
install the part myself. I was counting on this for a heat source right in the middle
of our coldest months. I feel that the automatic phone service was a joke. It does not give the customer the option to get immediate service with a major breakdown.
I would like to commend the customer service from Northern Tool for the help and
cooperation in trying to get some response from All Power the supplier of this
generator. I feel that even with the breakdown that occured the generator would be
a good purchase for the money."

"It was better then i thought it would be. With the comments on All Power C.S. I almost did not buy this unit. I called them a few times with questions first. Mixed reviews on them but i felt comfortable enough to buy. I have ran it for 7 hours now and it seems fine. The fuel consumtion is remarkable, it uses just what they say. No pull start though, you better have that battery charged or be able to jump it in an emergency."

"The All Power America Diesel Generator — 6500W, Model# APG3202 is just as advertised right off of the truck. Easy to operate. Very quite compared to other generators. I also bought a transfer switch to go with it. I highly recommend the switch for safety reasons. The image below is right after I unpacked it and fueled it up to try it out. I will be using it to power up my barn in case of a power outage. Thank you All Power American and Northern Tool."

"This is a great running generator. A weekend of camping used only 3 GAL. of
diesel.It starts instantly and is fairly quiet. It is not silent like it claims to be.
However it is much better than most gas units.One thing bad is trying to work with ALL-POWER the people there are little, or no help at all. If not for NORTHERN helping me out with warenty issues ,I beleve I would give up and do all repair my self.(THANKS NORTHERN) Still the generator runs great and is easy to use. It is a good value for the money."

Broken Parts,

"The generator appears to run well, although I have only been able to run is for a few minutes.
Customer service is not operating well.
When un-packaging the unit early December 2007 I noticed two broken parts, the Muffler and a hose (not damaged in shipping).
On 12/13/2007 I contacted All-Power America for replacement parts, which they stated they would ship.
On 12/31/2007 I received someone elses parts, not the parts I needed.
On 01/02/2008 I contacted All-Power America again for replacement parts which they stated they would ship.
As of today 01/14/2008 I have not received the parts, and called All-Power America again for replacement parts."
Customer service is not operating well.
