Best product, November 2, 2009
By FiremanK from Michigan

"I agree with all the other reviews as well. When I installed this product it was soooo easy. I had no issues with the wire lengths - but my service box is not a very large one. Have had to actually use this twice to power my appliances during power outages and the electricians working on the line fixes commented on how much they like these transfer switches because they are basically user "dummy" proof. May get the larger one to do an upgrade."

Very good but one caution, April 2, 2009
By cephas from NWPA

"Agree with other reviews about ease of instillation. When planning wiring I noticed that the wiring from the transfer box was not all the same length. Seems a couple of circuits were shorter. With my long main box this just meant to plan ahead to reach breakers. No problem. Also very minor but one screw in the outside outlet box was deformed, and needed to be cleaned out with a file for a screwdriver to catch."

10 Circuit Transfer Switch, January 3, 2009
By Mykicks45884 from Wapakoneta, OH

"I have installed 3 of these units for customers that wanted whole house units but didn't have the budget for one. For a very affordable price, I get them into a safe, easy to use, up-to-code means of powering their house in the event of an emergency.

Installation was easy. Just follow the colors and letters and your good to go. A typical installation takes me about 4-6 hours.

Some customers have stated that they have even had reductions in their homeowners Insurance because they have a means of back-up power.

Not to mention it increases the resale value and appeal of your home. Wouldn't you like for your next home to have a way to power up in the event of a power outage?

How about Norther Tool's service? The shipping was right on time and the packages were never damaged.

I will continue to use this product until it is not available any more. Lets hope that doesn't happen."

"Very detailed instructions on every aspect from calculating wattage to installation of the transfer switch.  Kit includes absolutely everything needed for complete installation, even the wire nuts!  The quality is exceptional and I am recomending this switch to my neighbors and freinds.  We just lost power due to a wind storm and ran the whole house for a day and a half in mid-winter.  I am no electrician, but I had no difficulty installing and using this transfer switch.  Absolutely worth every penny."

Reliance Transfer Switch-10 Circuit-31410CRK, August 11, 2008
By HandyBob from Smithe Station, AL

"Delivery was speedy, the instructions were easy to follow and detailed. I had no difficulty in installing the switch kit. Anyone who can identify black, red & green wires & can read the wire identification letters on the switch wires will be able to install this kit safely, in accordance with the National Electric Code (NEC). A test run proved the switch worked as advertized."

Great Quality and Very Simple to Install, January 24, 2008
By 10circuitTransferSwitch from Newcastle, Maine

"I just completed the install and testing of my Reliance 10 Circuit Transfer Switch. I was impressed with the quality right out of the box and every thing you need is included with this kit (including wire nuts). The instructions were very clear (and I found instructional videos at the reliance website too). The installation took about 2 hours total. You need to know the basics of how a breaker panel works or this project is not for you. I am not an electrician, but a pretty solid Home Handyman. If you have changed a breaker in the panel, you can do this by yourself. I would highly recommend this to anyone. I am able to power all the critical circuits in the house including well (240), furnace, office, refrigerator, bed and bath lights, TV, Computer, Microwave when I coupled this with my 5500/8600 protable generator. Again, I highly recommend this kit!"
