This economical single-load transfer panel provides safe single-load transfer from generator to an office, garage or farm building where the entire circuitry is to be powered by a generator during a power outage. Compact, all-steel design completely isolates the generator from the utility with manual switching action. Can be used as an economical alternative to a DPDT switch. "This basic unit allows the transfer of three phase power from the main source or the generator to a secondary panel. The unit is composed of four 60 amp circuit breakers with sets of two working together for each power supply input. The circuit breakers from the main line must be manualy switched off to allow the circuit breakers from the generator to be turned on. As I have to pull the generator out of the garage and fire it up anyway, I have no need for an automatic transfer switch. This switch works fine. This is a low cost solution to what can be a much more expensive modification. My only dislike of the unit is there are no seperate grounding points, for ground wires, in the box. I added them myself.
The sides of the box have mutliple knockouts for various sized connectors and conduits. The largest knockouts are 2 inches."

"The switch is a very good product. It is well made and works great. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it could be about half the size and still have plenty of room inside for the connections. It is about 12" x 12" and 4" thick."
