"I installed this unit for a customer recently as I have for others in the past. these quiet source units are very quiet and smooth running. The only flaw is that it is very difficult to access the junction box. The engineers have located factory equipment ( cables, altenator etc.) on all side except the bottom and the bottom is only 2.5 inches above the concrete. this makes the only entrance to the junction box thru the concrete. Although a very large Generator it is smaller than the compitition and easier to set in place,"

"The GUARDIAN QuietSource Liquid-Cooled Standby Generator (48 kW (LP)/45 kW (NG), Model# 5642) is the answer to anyone that lives on the coastal areas and is subject to Hurricanes, if you can get past the price, you can appreciate the advantages of having the guardian on your side. With the uncertainty of how long you will be without power during and after a hurricane, when the power goes off, the Guardian automatically starts up. It could be the difference between like and death. To be able to live in the comfort of your own home and be able to protect your rights and property and the security of knowing all is not lost, i frankly can not see why there are not more programs out there through the Utilities companies to offer preventative measures should the time of need arise."
