Quick Spade,July 20, 2009

"I bought the quick spade about a year ago. It works great. One of the first things I used it for was digging a 150 foot ditch 2 1/2 feet deep for drainage pipe. It had to snake thru the trees. It did an excellent job of digging tearing thru the roots. It also does a decent job of chopping thru the ice on a frozen driveway. I have recommended it to several friends"

Real back saver,July 9, 2009
By Diamond500from Bandera, TX
"Easy to install, easy to use. If you aren't sure, watch the video on UTube. I selected this model to mount on forks on my tractor. I think the combo version, mounted on a bucket, would not be a good idea for a tractor. The tractor hood would block too much vision. It will take a bit of practice to become proficient. It's the kind of tool that may not be used often but exactly the thing to save your bacon - especially when it's 102 outside and you need to dig a hole that won't wait. Bad back? Poor health? You need this."

Quick Spade,April 22, 2009
By Hortmanfrom Burlington, Vermont
"I run my own landscaping business and just purchased this amazing tool this Spring. I was able to dig and transplant a 2.5" caliper Maple tree with ease in an hour. The spade can also be used to transport burlapped plants on site. I wish I had this tool years ago!"

"This is a review of the fork mounted version of the quickspade. I have one on a set of industrial forks attached to my tractor. It is a sturdy and simple piece of equipment that is easy to use. It is very effective at digging trenches and can dig about 4ft deep or more with a width of about 20 inches or so. Digging is not as fast as with a backhoe but if you don't have a BH or don't want to mount it for a small job, this device works very well. I'd guess it digs about 4-5 times as fast as a man with a shovel. You do need to back and manuver the tractor to dump the spoils which is why it is only 4-5 times as fast as a single man with a shovel as he could just flip the dirt aside. I'm not sure I would mount one of these quickspades on light duty clamp on bucket forks as the leverage can get quite high but with a properly supported set of forks it does a fine job. It is useful for trenching, general digging and also as a cheapo tree spade. Well worth the price."
