Variable Width Implements, October 7, 2009

"Although not the fault of the Quick Hitch, be aware that not all Cat 1 Implements are the same width. Works well with my Rotary Cutter & Tiller, but the King Kutter Grader box mounts are about 1/2" too wide to fit inside the arms, and can't easily be changed. The Item# 12610 that I used previously doesn't handle the top link and doesn't maintain lower arm spacing, but will work with all attachments so far."

"Howse 3-Pt. Quick Hitch — Category 1, Model# GQH1-BLK. Top hook poorly cut - front inside edge not square! Hook has only two mounting holes, will not properly fit Cat 1 three point top link! Bottom hitch points poorly made will not fit most Cat 1 three points without bushing attachment (NT# 128101) for each three point unit to be connected!! Notified Northern Tool that this unit did not match illistration in catalog and on-line and did not properly fit a Cat 1 three point attachment and was given a number to contact mfgr. and absolutely no help or information!!! I had already welded this unit to a skid steer quick hitch adapter plate before I found that the unit was way out of square and it required more than 4 hours of modification to make it work.
