"This is a great little gadget for tracking hours. I have one of these installed on my 9hp Go-Devil (Honda GX270) and one on my 6.5hp JD pressure washer (Honda GX200) both keep accurate hours and RPMs. This meter makes tracking hours easy for on time maintenance. I am so pleased with this item that I will be purchasing one for my 12hp 1967 Wheel Horse 1257 lawn tractor (Kohler K301) as well. The only down side to this product is that once the battery is gone it its gone."

"Purchased one of these in June. Installed on a towable backhoe. Install was easy. Unit works well. I have ordered another to put on a portable generator used at our remote camping property. Only downside is battery is permenent, so once it dies meter must be replaced. If unit had replaceable battery I would have given it 5 stars."

"I purchased this unit to maintain 3600 rpm on a generator. At this rpm the generator will maintain the proper voltage levels. It works perfectly, at the 3600 rpm reading on the meter I obtained the correct voltage readings that I needed."

hour tac meter,

"The combo hour/tac was very easy to install. I installed it on a twin cylinder outboard. The hour part appears to work as advertised, however the tac is at least twice what the rpms are. There are no adjustments for a single cylinder or twin cylinders."

"Purchased 2 of these, one for my 1948 Allis Chalmers Model C tractor, (4 cylinder), and one for my Troy-Bilt Pony Lawn Tractor, (one cylinder). They are both counting and displaying the hours of engine operation. This is good. I am concerned about the calibration of the tachometer rpm readings. I thought that the one-cylinder readings were high; over 3000 rpm but found that this is correct. I'm not sure about the reading on my A-C Model C, 4 cylinder, tractor. Manuals indicate idle should be 350 to 450 rpm and max speed to be about 1500 rpm. I read about 550 rpm idle and about 950 rpm high speeds. Instructions do not say anything about calibration factors for different number of cylinders."

"I purchased this meter to keep track of the running hours on my Honda Outboard. The added feature of the tachometer helped during the break-in period by keeping the RPM within a certain range for the first hours of use. It would have been a useless guess for the RPM, and a lot of clock watching for the total times. Works great."

Small engine hour meter,

"I am very pleased with my recent purchase. I found it very easy to install on my lawnmower. I will use it keep track of my service intervals on this piece of equipment. I like the fact that the meter requires no batteries or power from the equipment to operate - simply wrap a wire arount the spark plug wire and connect the other end to the meter. The most difficult part of the installation was drilling two 7/64 inch holes for mounting the meter. I would definitely recommend this product."

"I purchased this tach. to use on my 30 hp mercury 2 stroke outboard motor. I was pleased with the products looks, style, and size. It installed in seconds per. supplied instructions. The unit seemed to keep an accurate time count for engine hours however the tach function responded very slowly and inaccurately giving ridiculously high rpm readings. I would not recommend this item as it does not seem to work as advertised."
