Works well for me, but don't forget to buy weights,

"This little balancer works well enough for a wide assortment of tires. We have a large van (16" wheel) down to a Geo Metro (13" wheel). My only problem has been finding a set of lead weights. (I wish Northern had at least a small set available - hint, hint.)
There's a bit of a "knack" using this since you're eye-balling a bubble instead of just reading a digital display. At first I wasn't sure I was doing a good job, but the results when driving tell me I'm as good or better than some of the shops I've been to.
The tire shops will usually balance your tires for free, but this little guy is small enough and inexpensive enough that I prefer to do this at home, on my own schedule."

"The Northern Portable Wheel Balancer is easy to use and has done an excellent job for me in the last two years. I have balanced 13"-17" tires, without any problems at all."

Portable Wheel Balancer,
November 19, 2006
"This product worked wonders for my 35" BFG AT's. I had two different shops try to balance my wheels and tires, and they still would almost shake the steering wheel out of your hands at 55 mph! I bought this wheel balancer, used stick on wheel weights, and now it's so smooth you almost can't believe the differance! Also my local parts store wanted $225 for this same balancer, over $150 more, thank you Northern Tool!"
