"This is a great battery minder. I purchased this solar charger for one of my cars that I don't drive very much. It used to be that whenver I would try to start that car, the battery would be nearly empty and would occasionally require a jump-start, but now when I do need to drive that car, the battery is always fully charged.
This product is well worth the money!"

Solar Charging system, October 19, 2009

"This item is well constructed using decent aluminum channel for the frame. The desulfator works well at correcting issues with sealed lead acid batteries. (The batteries that I use are 12Vdc 12Amp Hour vented). These batteries were in service for approx 3 years and had little life left. The desulfator had actually corrected the issue with the batteries and they now hold a charge just like new. The wire length supplied is ample and the gauge is proper. This system is affordable for tinkering in the solar field. I would recommend to a friend. These would be great for Emergency communications backup power or just placing at the campsite to top up the batteries or run small portable devices."

Great Product as Advertised . . ., September 14, 2009

"I use this charger on an RV deep cycle battery. The unit will not keep the battery charged if the battery is not disconnected from the RV (I installed a negative disconnect - the propane monitor and clocks on the radio and microwave draw more amp-hours than the 5 Watt unit can produce in a day). However, this is not the product's fault as it is only a 5 Watt unit. If you don't want to disconnect your RV battery, then you should consider the similar 15 Watt unit.

For my application, the product works well. My battery is always fully charged when I reconnect. I've used the product for 2 years now trouble-free. I would highly recommend this or the similar 15 Watt unit (same charge controller)."

"Product works on smaller batteries that have no load on them while charging. I tried to keep a maintenance charge on a deep cycle battery in a RV, but due to the small residual draw (100-200ma) it could not keep up. Worked well on maintaining a motorcycle battery."

Solar power for barn or shed, July 13, 2009

"This item is great for workshop, barn, or shed use. Ease of set up and installation is a plus. I mounted a 12VDC flouresant lamp to a header in my barn and just connected the system and it worked. The solar panel keeps the deep cycle battery I bought at the right charge level and the de-sulfanator make it almost trouble free for maintenance. This item should be on every hobby shop list or do-it-yourselfers list for lighting."

Solar Battery Charger, December 4, 2008

"I have a storage building that's not close to electricity. I originally purchased the LED solar shed light for my storage building but it was little more than a night light. I installed 12 volt lighting in the building and use this charger to keep a deep cycle battery charged that powers the lights. The battery is always fully charged and the controller shows its charging even on cloudy days. It comes with mounting brackets and setup was easy."
